Vintage Paper Hearts

Hello

I am guilty of not blogging for a while, so heres a little entry

I saw some little paper hearts on Pinterest, and decided to have a go

I felt bad cutting up this fantastic vintage school music book, but my charity had given me a few from their shop to transform.....so.......out came the Bigshot, the Distress Inks and glitter glue.....and off I went

One of the songs on the hearts is "Bobby Shaftoe"

These are fantastic, I love them and because the paper is very thick it was easy to sew and stuff.
The book is probably about 30 years old and has the school name and address stamped on some of the pages.

These will go to the charity to sell, but I am going to make some for my christmas tree this year

Till the next time

Stamping and Fabric

Todays experiment was to see if I could stamp onto fabric successfully.

The answer happily was YES

The fabric is just cheap as chips calico (£1.50 a metre from Ikea)
I used plum archival ink to stamp which worked really well.
All in all I am very pleased with my experiment this afternoon. Ideal makes for charity and craft fayres because you can make them for next to nothing and sell reasonably cheaply.  I call them stockingfillers.
Next lot I think I shall fill with lavender or rose petals.   Okidoki off to see what I can stamp on next....
Till next time peeps...

Two New Mini-Books

Today I finished off these two new mini-books using some more of the Tilda transfer paper birds.

The first one (see post further down) which I made for myself and intended to fill with pictures of the Lakes has now been sold and is on its travels to France.  I posted it on my facebook page and someone wanted to buy it.

Next I made these two lavender hangers using more of the birdy transfers

I have one more bird left to transform...............

Journal Page

Playing around with a new journal page today using the cute little free stamp from this months Craft Stamper

I really like the way the trees have turned out (although they are not too clear on this picture)

Flowers

The bargain Costco papers were calling to me this morning, so I just had to have a little play.  I got out the trusty Bigshot, tattered florals die (my fave) and..................voila :)

The 3-D one was from a video tutorial on the Artful Splodgers blog...........very pretty........but I think it might need some extra glue to keep it all together as the cardstock is quite thick.

Now that I have made something with the papers, I am a happy bunny.

Hope you are all having a crafty Friday too

Crafty Thursday

After all my hard efforts yesterday with housework and gardening, I promised myself a crafty day today.

Finished the mini-book I started earlier in the week.  I have added to the front cover as it looked a bit unbalanced before and have kept it simple inside.

We have some lovely pictures from the Lake District so I am going to get the OH to photoshop some to make them look vintage and print them in sepia.

Spent the rest of the time playing with my new stamps.

Stampotique - Love her too
I am signing off now because the PC is being a pain and taking forever to load things

Bargain Buy

We went to Costco this afternoon for some things and I found this BARGAIN

I am ashamed to say I got quite excited when I saw them on the shelf and started drooling, especially when I saw the price - £6.97 plus VAT.

The papers are in a very good quality carry case and there are 300 of them - 4 pages of 75 different designs

How sad am I getting excited about paper - I want to play now - Watch this space
